Help Clients Out of Pain Without Guessing, Fixing, or Forcing.
If you’re a yoga teacher, clinician, or movement professional who’s been trying to help clients feel better . . . but keep hitting the same walls, you’re not alone.
If you’re nodding your head, this training was built for you.
You’ve taken trainings. You’ve studied anatomy. You’ve learned alignment, cueing, and modifications.
And yet, something still feels… missing.
Most yoga teachers are never shown how to:
Bridge group skills into private work, without feeling awkward, invasive, or “salesy.”
Work safely and effectively with pain, beyond telling someone to skip a pose or “listen to their body.”
See more than the pose, noticing subtle load shifts, breath changes, or micro-holds that happen even when the form looks “right.”
Help hypermobile or post-injury students build real stability, without over-cueing, over-efforting, or defaulting to generic strength work.
Integrate nervous system principles, without getting stuck in theory or fearing they’ll do it “wrong.”
Stop over-teaching, learning to get results without draining themselves or overwhelming students with endless cues.
These aren’t gaps in your passion or commitment.
They’re gaps in the industry’s training model.
The Therapeutic Yoga Intensive™ is where we close them — so you can see with clarity, respond with confidence, and help clients move out of pain without guessing, fixing, or forcing.
You’ve taken the courses. You know your anatomy. You’ve learned how to cue, modify, and adjust.
But when someone walks in with persistent pain, complex compensations, or a nervous system stuck in high alert… it’s hard to know what to do next.
What if more cueing isn’t helping?
What if strength is being layered on top of poor coordination?
What if the nervous system isn’t ready for your best ideas?
This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing less . . .better.
Inside the Intensive, you’ll learn how to see what’s really going on beneath the surface…
To track what most teachers miss…
And to support clients in moving from protection to coordination, with clarity, ease, and real results.
No guesswork.
No over-cueing.
No need to hustle or prove.
Just you. Seeing clearly. Responding skillfully. Teaching with impact.
Most trainings give you sequences, alignment rules, and lists of modifications.
But when you’re in front of a real person with persistent pain, hypermobility, or complex compensation patterns… those lists stop helping.
The Functional Synergy Process™ is different.
It’s not a script to memorize or a fixed protocol to follow.
It’s a way of seeing, sensing, and responding that adapts to every client, in real time.
Pain isn’t only mechanical, it’s also sensory.
You’ll learn to restore sensory clarity, so your client’s nervous system can stop bracing and start coordinating, without adding more complexity or effort.
When you know how to track compensations as messages, you stop chasing “perfect form” and start addressing the real driver.
You’ll connect what you see to breath, load, and readiness, so your interventions match what the body can actually use.
Layering strength on top of poor coordination is like building on sand.
You’ll read when a client’s system is ready for challenge, and when it needs decompression first, so you stop triggering flare-ups or plateaus.
This isn’t about endless reps, harder poses, or “fixing” more things.
It’s about restoring coordination, clarity, and connection so movement becomes functional, fluid, and sustainable, for them and for you.
When you can see and respond from embodied presence, your teaching becomes lighter and more effective.
You’ll build trust between your client’s brain and body, and between their lived experience and your guidance.
Through load clarity, breath integration, movement repatterning, and applied nervous system science, you’ll create lasting change without scripts, without force, and without losing yourself in the process.
The Functional Synergy Process™ is about restoring trust, in sensation, in movement, and in the body’s ability to heal. Through load clarity, breath integration, movement repatterning, and applied nervous system science, you’ll learn how to create real, sustainable change, without force, without scripts, and without losing yourself in the process.
This isn’t about more information.
It’s about deeper clarity.
You’ll refine how you see, how you listen, and how you guide, so your work becomes more effective, more intuitive, and more impactful.
Most people can mimic movement. That doesn’t mean it’s working.
You’ll learn to:
You’ll stop teaching to rote instructions and start responding to what’s actually happening.
Pain is often a mismatch between the system’s input and its sense of safety. You’ll learn how to:
This isn’t about relaxing. It’s about reorganizing how the system takes in, processes, and responds to movement and sensation.
Cueing isn’t just about instruction. It shapes the client’s experience of their body. You’ll learn to:
Cueing becomes less about control and more about co-creating awareness.
This isn’t about adding strength for strength’s sake. It’s about shifting how you understand and apply movement interventions, so they support healing, not just muscle activation.
You’ll learn how to:
This isn’t corrective exercise as usual. It’s about restoring the conditions for efficiency and ease.
This isn’t about adding more sessions or grinding out group classes. It’s about:
You’ll stop chasing more and start cultivating depth.
So many movement professionals are taught to look for what’s wrong. To correct the “bad posture,” to fix the imbalance, to micromanage motion.
But here’s the truth:
The body isn’t wrong. It’s responding.
Pain often comes from how the body has adapted to prior load, injury, fear, or compensation. Not because it’s broken.
Inside the Intensive, you’ll learn how to:
This isn’t corrective exercise. This is movement reintegration.
This is the shift. From instructor to facilitator. From correcting to connecting. From giving answers to guiding clarity.
A curated set of 16 tools and principles you can use immediately.
Track compensations with clarity and nuance
Feel readiness and adjust in real time
Use pause and stillness as progression
Strength that supports, not short-circuits

“I came to the Intensive from a place of burnout. I left with tools to notice my own patterns, and support others with clarity. I now trust my intuition and have the practical skills to get clients out of pain.”
“This is the best investment I’ve made. Susi doesn’t teach from scripts—she teaches from truth. I now work 1:1 and my clients are seeing real, lasting results.”
“I wanted someone to tell it like it is, and Susi does. Her biomechanical approach made everything click. And she’s clear that this isn’t just a side gig, you can build a serious, soul-aligned business.”
Hi, I’m Susi Hately.
I’ve been immersed in this work since 1995, training yoga teachers, clinicians, and health professionals across the globe.
I hold a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and am a C-IAYT yoga therapist. Over the last 30 years, I’ve helped thousands of people reduce or eliminate pain, without pushing, fixing, or bypassing their nervous system.
This isn’t about giving clients more to do.
It’s about helping them see and feel differently, so change sticks.
This is the first module in my Yoga Therapy Certification, and it’s the most powerful place to start.

Ask yourself:
If the answer is yes, you’re ready.
This isn’t just another training.
It’s a recalibration point—for how you see, teach, and lead.
The Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is where you stop performing expertise and start embodying it.
It’s where you stop reaching for protocols and start trusting what you see, sense, and know.
And if you’re ready to:
Then now is the time.
Let’s help people heal—starting with how they move.
