Yes, the feet are the foundation of our posture and our movement.
They are the root of our body after all. They ground us to the earth, help us stand, walk, run, and climb…
But…
the feet are also at the bottom of a long chain of neuromusculoskeletal connections.
And a very important piece in that long chain is the pelvis.
The pelvis is a platform in which the leg bone moves… and when the leg moves so does the foot.
This means if there is instability, weakness, imbalance, or other limitations in and around the pelvis… the lower limb, calf and foot can be vulnerable to these imbalances.

I help people improve the relationship between their body, mind and breath, and have been training yoga teachers and health professionals how to do the same for over 25 years.
With a background in Kinesiology, I blend science-based biomechanics and anatomy with the ancient wisdom of yoga to help you gain awareness and clarity on what your body is whispering to you. Once you are aware of what happens in your own body, you can translate that to your students and clients to help them move and feel better.
