Functional Synergy Helps You

Deliver long-lasting
results
to your
clients and students.

Learn to connect with the body in a whole new way by
blending anatomy, biomechanics and yoga.

AS FEATURED IN:

Where the pain is,
is not where the problem is.

Over the last 30 years of teaching clients and training health professionals to reduce and eradicate pain – I have seen one common characteristic amongst all of them . . .

When you can connect to the whispers in the body, and can quiet the body’s screams, that is when you can get better, faster results – even for those who have been living with pain for decades.

At the foundation of Functional Synergy is a belief that where the pain is, is not where the problem is.

Using anatomy, biomechanics and your ability to see and listen, you can use small movements to get better results at an accelerated pace.

My job is to help you connect more clearly with your body and empower you to help your clients do the same.

Listen to the whispers of your body,

so you don’t have to hear (or feel) the screams.

Our Founder, Susi

Susi has spent 25+ years teaching yoga-informed anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology principles to movement and body-based professionals wanting to achieve long-lasting results for themselves and their practice.

By combining her B.Sc. in Kinesiology with her practical understanding of movement, breath and stillness, she sees compensatory movement strategies and understands how movement truly works.

The nervous system can catalyze powerful healing when in a relaxed, non-wired, non-tired state. She knows how to help others get to this place. That is what she teaches. This is what she can teach you.

Painfree Results

Jennifer Ireland

Medical Doctor

“Susi has succeeded in transforming modern pain psychology into something more human. As a kinesiologist, she has deep fluency using movement as a therapeutic tool; however, any practitioner knows that true healing requires more than just the rigid application of a bio-medical model. Susi’s technique uses movement as an “in” to the complex interplay between the physical, psychological and spiritual dimensions of pain. As a doctor with a growing interest in Integrative Medicine, her teachings have been particularly helpful in managing patients suffering from pain and chronic disease.”

Dave Holmes

BSc.PT, Certified Spinal Manipulation, CAFI (Acupuncture)

“To analyze movement takes a combination of formal training in anatomical and biomechanical knowledge, and a solid sense of intuition. While the former is attained though time and diligent practice, the latter is more difficult to master. It requires the practitioner to combine reason with instinct and curiosity. Susi has proved to be an expert at this skill, which makes collaborations with her very rewarding. I can trust her to help my clients find new ways to explore their senses and gain a new connection between the brain, body and spirit. Truly a gifted practitioner and a wonderful person.”

Anne Schlink

“I was in a car accident, I had reconstructive spinal surgery, and I have been living in chronic pain ever since. I had tried everything, physical therapy, acupuncture, losing weight. Nothing really ever seemed to work for very long. I was trapped in a prison of pain. I told Susi, “You’re crazy lady, I’ve been living in chronic pain for 23 years, and there’s nothing that you can do to change it. But Okay, I’ll try”. This program was like a gift from God, because how else would I come across this woman who does these very specific things that could free me from the pain I’ve been living with forever? Me stumbling across Susi, and her wonderful ways was an answered prayer.”
