Myofascial Meridians and Yoga
A Certification Only Training

Gain insight into the nature of fascia and its architecture by exploring the myofascial meridians.

Live Online Workshop – September 13 & 14

Traditional muscle anatomy has limitations in explaining the whole body movements of a yoga practice.

Understanding fascial or connective tissue anatomy provides insight into how yoga asana interact with our connected anatomy.

The myofascial meridians are the fascial tissue that spans the body – from the neck and jaw, down to the feet.

When you look at these meridians or lines: superficial back and front lines, the deep front line, functional arm lines, lateral and spiral lines . . . all but one of these lines have a direct connection to the skull.

And if you take a closer look at  the deep front line, you can see the fascia connecting from the tongue to the jaw and to the lungs, the diaphragm and surrounding or covering many of the stabilizing muscles of the chest and abdomen and down the inner leg line to the feet.

And this is just one map . . . there are others.

Gain insight into the nature of fascia and its architecture by exploring the myofascial meridians.

Many Certification trainees and Alumni have asked me to dive further into myofascial meridians. So I have asked a long time colleague, Mark Finch, RMT, to join me to discuss Myofasical Meridans with specific applications to Yoga.

Mark has a passion for treating myofascial tissues in all its forms & clinically reasoning the most appropriate strategies for each individual patient. He has treated successfully in a variety of therapeutic settings from touring internationally with the Riverdance Show to his current practice in Vancouver.
