A Professional Training for Yoga Teachers on the Importance of the Glutes and Evidence-Based Strategies for The Most Effective Glute Activation.

As a yoga teacher, you recognize the importance of fluid movement, balance, and stability—but are your students truly engaging their glutes effectively?

You See It All the Time in Your Students…

🔹The practitioner who feels tight in their hips and hamstrings but no amount of stretching or strengthening is relieving that feeling of tightness.

🔹The student who is flexible but lacks strength, leading to instability in balancing poses, standing poses, transitions and also “off the mat”.

🔹The student who is coming back to class after graduating from rehabilitation post-hip or knee surgery and is struggling with stability, strength, and confidence in movement.

🔹The long time student who struggles with chronic knee, hip, or low back pain—even after years of practice.

🔹The students who want to have deeper connection between strength and ease in movement but it remains elusive.

What if you could...

  •  Help your students move beyond persistent tightness, instability, and pain—without relying solely on stretching?

  • Teach them how to build strength where they need it most, creating true stability on and off the mat?

  • Support post-rehab students in regaining confidence, strength, and ease in movement?

  • Guide your students toward a deeper, more integrated connection between strength and flexibility?

But Here’s The Challenge . . .Most 200 and 500 yoga teacher training programs don’t cover this.

200 and 500 Hour Programs focus on alignment and generic cueing but rarely address the science of biomechanics, kinesiology, and neuromuscular control and coordination—especially when it comes to the glutes.

  • If a student has knee pain, we tell them to align their knees.
  • If the low back hurts, we cue core engagement.
  • If balancing feels unstable, we tell them to spread their toes and root down

These cues and alignment techniques alone don’t change the issue because they aren’t addressing the actual issue. And in many cases —reinforcing the very issues they’re trying to fix.

Enter The Power of the Glutes Workshop for Yoga Teachers—

This training brings together contemporary glute science and yoga principles enabling you to:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the glutes’ role in movement, stability, and pain reduction.

  • Learn how to seamlessly integrate glute science into your teaching—whether through subtle cues within a flow or by workshopping a concept with isolated movement drills.

  • Enhance your students’ experience by applying evidence-based principles in both regular and therapeutic yoga settings.

Now, let’s dive into what you’ll learn

This 2 Hour Professional Training will help you uncover the vital role of the glutes in movement, stability, and pain reduction—beyond just strength or activation. Learn how to seamlessly integrate glute science into your teaching through subtle cueing, intelligent sequencing, and targeted movement workshops.

What You’ll Learn

Whether you teach group classes, privates, or therapeutic yoga, this training will give you practical tools you can apply immediately.

I am your instructor - Susi Hately, BSc. Kinesiology, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist

For over 25 years, I’ve been helping people bridge the gap between pain, movement, and awareness—combining the ancient wisdom of yoga with modern biomechanics and kinesiology. With a BSc. in Kinesiology and postgraduate work in Biomechanics, my work integrates science-based movement principles with a deep understanding of the nervous system to help people move with ease, efficiency, and control.

Two of my programs have been studied at a University level, demonstrating significant benefits for well-being. I am also the best-selling author of Anatomy and Asana: Preventing Yoga Injuries. Since 2001, I have been training yoga teachers and health professionals in yoga therapy and am the lead teacher in the highly successful C-IAYT Accredited Functional Synergy Yoga Therapy Program.

Throughout my 30 years of helping people reduce and eliminate pain, one key pattern has stood out: how improving glute engagement is connected to reducing pain and improving function. By bringing awareness to these relationships my clients have retrained and experienced new levels of strength, stability, and freedom in their bodies. And when my trainees and graduates apply these principles they have the same results as I do

Who Is This Training For?

✔ Yoga Teachers – Who want to refine their ability to observe glute function, motor control, and compensatory patterns to help students move with more strength, stability, and efficiency.

✔Movement Professionals – Who want to improve their skill in refining neuromuscular control, glute engagement, and movement sequencing in real-time.

✔Therapists & Bodyworkers – Who want to bridge the gap between hands-on techniques and active movement re-education, using glute science to support stability and pain reduction.

✔Coaches & Trainers – Who want to integrate whole-body movement intelligence, optimizing strength, mobility, and rehabilitation by improving proprioception, motor learning, and glute coordination.

If you’re ready to move beyond isolated adjustments and start working with the body’s natural coordination systems for lasting movement change, this training is for you.

Who This Training Is
Not For?

❌ Teachers who rely solely on alignment-based cueing and aren’t interested in how glute function influences movement, stability, and pain resolution.

❌ Instructors looking for a one-size-fits-all approach instead of developing the skill to observe, and adapt movement for better glute function and coordination for each individual.

❌ Practitioners who prefer passive techniques rather than engaging in active movement re-education and functional glute integration.

❌ Anyone who just wants more anatomy memorization without learning how to apply glute science dynamically in real movement scenarios.

❌ Those unwilling to shift their perspective on how glute function impacts pain, movement efficiency, and whole-body coordination.

This training isn’t just about learning more cues or sequences—it’s about refining your ability to see and influence glute function at a deeper level. If you’re ready to move beyond surface-level adjustments and integrate glute science seamlessly into your teaching, this is for you.
