Get results consistently. Feel fulfilled and with purpose.
You want to be a really good and effective Yoga Therapist.
And you know that the relationship between you and your primary teacher is vital to your success.
You want someone who is more than knowledgeable and experienced. You want a teacher who has a good mix of “WOO!” and science/evidence/results.
Someone who is equal parts supportive and still will push you in the direction you want to go.
Someone who practices what she preaches because it comes through in her teaching.
I am Susi Hately. I have a B.Sc. Kinesiology and I have been using yoga therapy for over 25 years to help people eradicate pain. I have trained thousands of yoga teachers and health professionals around the world on how to get the same results as I do and integrate yoga therapeutically into their practices.
Now I want to help you grow your skill and ability to help others get out of pain.
Susi’s most spoken line is “Where the pain is, isn’t the problem. The real problem is under our level of awareness.” In a nutshell, we can’t change anything we aren’t aware of which is a key reason for why pain remains persistent and is not resolved. Applying this concept will help you to become more deliberate and accurate with your teaching.
When you can apply anatomy to movement and movement to pain reduction, you’ll see more clearly what the real problem is. This will improve your ability to choose the techniques or tools for your clients.
Susi coined the term “Biomechanics of Healing” very deliberately. Our nervous systems are very plastic. Our tissue can change. When we combine the way our brains work with the ambition and drive our minds and the mechanics of our body, real healing can arise.
There are contributing factors for why people’s progress can be slow, or stall completely. Understanding these ideas will reinvigorate your connection with your client and their needs.
PLUS when you register . . .
We will send you a box of goodies to help with your training!
“Taking Susi’s Therapeutic Yoga Intensive™ training was the best investment I have ever made. For one, the training differs from anything else I have ever taken. It is unique — it is not about a one-size fits all template but instead lays out a roadmap designed to help you personally move better and with less (or no) pain as an individual. What I learned from Susi was “how” to move away from pain, persistent pain — the kind that lingers but never really goes away. Not only did I learn how to observe and feel how my body moves, I learned how to be in tune and mindful of habitual compensatory patterns that were no longer serving me. My body learned new patterns of movement that did not trigger pain. Those new patterns gave my body permission to heal — finally, there was hope. Susi is a great coach who is very supportive and encouraging. I finished the training feeling very confident in that I can be a valuable resource to helping others move away from pain. I highly recommend the training.”

1. Do you believe that healing is possible?
2. Do you want a no fuss, candid and truly loving approach to being real about “what is”; to dig in and explore yourself in movement, breath and stillness?
3. Do you know that your level of awareness, connection and integration has a direct impact on your results with your clients?
4. Do you recognize you can’t ask a client to do what you aren’t willing to do for yourself?
5. Do you believe that pain can actually change?
6. Do you want to learn how to help your client find relief, retrain neuromuscular patterns, and refine how they are going about their daily activities so they have sustainable and consistent change?
✓ This training attracts both yoga teachers and other health professionals to enhance their ability to work with their students, clients or patients. It also attracts people who want to work on their own bodies.
✓ I have seen people eliminate long standing (20 years) chronic pain, reduce migraines, reduce pain and flares related to autoimmune conditions and improve mobility and stability following surgeries. We’ve had people significantly reduce depressive episodes, reduce anxiety, and better manage other mental health issues. When trainees understand the relationship of their movement to the conditions they are experiencing they discover the real factors for why they have the symptoms they do. It is very powerful and super cool (which is a technical term!)
✓ Ultimately, I am not a template girl – I don’t rely on nor do I teach “here is the template for reducing SI joint pain”. There isn’t one template for that to happen. It requires much more than that.
The Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is the first module for our Yoga Therapy Certification Program. You must take the Intensive if you wish to apply for the Certification program and become a Yoga Therapist.
If you don’t want to take Certification or want to wait to take Certification, you can still enroll in the Intensive program.
The Asynchronous Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is 6 weeks and begins as soon as you register!
The asynchronous Intensive gives you the same skills and knowledge as the 6-day program, but you will go at your own pace. The recorded modules will be released weekly over six weeks and you can consume them on your own time. You’ll also have 3 live training sessions with Susi to keep you accountable and get any questions answered.
Because this is Module 1 of the IAYT Accredited Yoga Therapy Certification Program, you will be expected to complete the Therapeutic Yoga Intensive by December if you wish to continue to the certification program.
The Asynchronous Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is $3,800. We also have a payment plan option of 3 monthly payments of $1,270.
Because this program is the first module of the Yoga Therapy Certification Program, your Intensive payment will be deducted from your full Certification program tuition, should you wish to continue onto Certification.

The Therapeutic Yoga Intensive is Module 1 in our IAYT Accredited Yoga Therapy Certification Program. You can participate without enrolling in the full Functional Synergy Yoga Therapy program, or you can enrol, participate and decide later to complete the full certification. It is also in the process of being approved for continuing education credits with IAYT.
Many years ago, Susi made a very conscious choice to not be affiliated with Yoga Alliance, and instead align herself with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. With that said, her trainees have applied for credit for continuing education and have received hours with Yoga Alliance.
